You're probably looking at what remains after the geekhack wiki wars. Something about someone who dared to edit a ripster page, and then ripster setting up vbb to destroy all.

All I know is that the pics can't be seen on my IBM article...

Somebody reverted your history. That borks attachments (stupid WikiVault software).

I can fix it with a kludgy workaround if you want.

Wiki organization at GH has always been a mess.

My hard drive. Works great. In fact I just dropped my monthly backup at the Bank Safe Deposit (don't trust the cloud - I mean isn't that a bunch of water droplets?).

Yep, I assume that's why someone tried the reversion.

Unfortunately with MediaVault Vb add on reverting history is like putting plastic explosives on the vault and hopping the detonator doesn't pick up some static electricity.

KABOOM!

I came up with this analogy putting my 2tb backup drive in the safe deposit box. Are Netherlands bank vaults waterproof?

And yes, point.

Hats off to you and the wiki's you've produced through the times, thanks; also from the untold numbers of lurkers.
Ofcourse that goes out as well to all those that produced such informative pages for others to stumble upon and take in.
Thanks, for sharing, it is much appreciated.

Spoiler:
Now get them back online :evilgeek:

Nice, yet still it's hard to browse. Forumproblem, having it here as well. Stuff everywhere, even titles nor pagecounts mean much of anything w.r.t. the amount of gold or crap you'll find inside. Pft, even my pm, bookmarks and 'view your posts' are hard to filter. Search seems the only way.. if you know what you're looking for. and how it has been said.

Hence the need for search.
Just this time I'd say only slightly; deskthority vs geekhack, points to dt for wiki browsability, points to gh for info amount. ;)

Whatever.

I'm like Helvetica. Swiss. High on ALPS. Distrustful of the Germans but still decidedly neutral in the GH/DT Wiki Wars.

All my content is Creative Commons anyway.

My reasons for that are elucidated here:

All my organs (except my dick) may be used and distributed freely by anyone as long as you aren't a dick and strip my watermark or forget to acknowledge Ripster as..

Finally you have seen the light. This means we can now strip of those watermarks as long as we keep the original credits intact in some obscure wiki page.

I've been forced to post at OCN and even HardForum.

I will be posting a borderline offensive Lego pic. Notify your Admin team to stay alert.

Bwahahahaha!

Well, people who get above 50k views ARE certifiably crazy!

A pm from iMav would have been nice but hey, his website, his rules. At least I got my content backed up.

I suspect this was the final straw:
