What I find odd is that I was rank #28 or something a couple of months ago and now, I'm #16 even though I only added $6 to my order since then. Did twelve orders larger than mine get cancelled or something?

Maybe, that was before you paid. The bot counts only what has been paid. Refunds reduce that amount.

maybe you had not paid in full a few months ago? I think what matters is the amount already paid for the ranking.

That must be it. I was about 80% paid up for a long time and then I paid up in full, but didn't notice the change in rank at that time. It's disappointing to see that nothing in my order went down in price (everything was ordered prior to the price changes). You'd think, statistically speaking, that given the size of the order something would have been reduced. Typical of my luck.

I recently had to run CLEARALL--cleared out all of my items, but the refund is manual (still waiting).

You have to ask for a refund explicitly by sending REFUND to the bot or/and bugging 7bit personally. CLEARALL only clears the ordered items.

Ideally, you send this:
CLEARALL
REFUND

Some people clear their order and want to use the money for something else (like grab bags, or switches etc.).
