Before I get started on this I would like to thank HzFaq for his very generous help in proxying this keyboard to me.
The seller wrote that this keyboard was used in a commercial financial setting. I searched for the term "Tele Rate" (being a keycap on the function row) and indeed Telerate was a US company providing financial data to market participants, specialising in commercial paper and bond prices.

The keyboard is 41cm wide, 21cm deep, 7,5cm tall at the back and 3,5cm at the front weighing 2,2 KG. It's pretty compact, slightly smaller than a regular full size keyboard. The bottom part of the case is made of thick plastic, the top part is made of metal and sits at a slight angle.

This keyboard has plate mounted linear Alphameric foam and foil switches, but the mount looks different to that in our wiki. Being metal plate mounted, the switch feels very nice for a foam and foil switch, much nicer than my Key Tronic switches. The switch contact mechanism is capacitive. There is a small seperate controller connected to the back of the main PCB.The swtiches are very easily removed from the plate by pressing two hinges on the switch housing inward.

The keycaps are doubleshots, I'm not sure about the printing on the keycaps. There are no engraved keycaps. The Capital Lock key is latching. The overall condition is pretty good for the age, there are a few scratches on the case. This keyboard has no feet. I can find out very little about Alphameric keyboards online, nothing about this keyboard specifically . There is an Alphameric entry in our wiki already, at least I can add one keyboard to that for now.

Nice, unusual colours. I was going to guess late 1985 before reading the label showing 1986. Well, I was close.

Yeah I guess those traders could use those colors so not to enter the wrong financial data! :?

Sure terry I'll add it to our wiki. Got a few things to add anyway.
