There are a few people who have modified or built custom keyboards to have only greens, yes.
The tactile bump is the same as on MX Blues, but because the spring is harder the tactile feel is
relatively diminished.
MX Blues and Greens have
hysteresis, just as the buckling springs, and some gamers don't like it.
If you were happy gaming on buckling springs, the greens should work for you. It depends on the games you play and your style of using the keyboard when playing those games.
BTW, have you looked at Unicomp's buckling spring keyboards in a smaller case? They are practically the same internally as the old ones, but the case is slightly smaller, available in black or Mac version and you can now choose to have one with USB and/or a trackpoint.
