Full title: [XT][1984.10]TAVA PC keyboard type3[(Linear)White Gundam eye(short spring),(Linear)White Gundam eye(medium spring),(Linear)White Gundam eye(space bar type1)]
FCC ID: unknown
MFD: 1984.10
Switch: NMB Hi-Tek switch
The American company TAVA Corporation released the TAVA PC desktop with this keyboard in 1983.11 till 1986.
In my researched, the Hi-Tek Corporation made the very first Hi-Tek switch "White Gundam eye"(as "soap dispenser") on this TAVA PC keyboard.
As I said on this post. TAVA PC keyboard may have 4types:
[XT][1983.11]TAVA PC type1[(Linear)White Gundam eye] by terrpn from geekhack
[XT][1984.08]TAVA PC type2[(Linear)White Gundam eye] by nubbinator from geekhack
[XT][1985.12]Tandon 84keys TAVA PC keyboard type4(SN T0 68330)[(Linear)White one eye] by Chyros from Youtube and deskthority
http://deskthority.net/keyboards-f2/hi- ... 35-30.html
I mentioned that "Tandon 84keys" was the type4 of TAVA PC keyboard.
Because the layout is same as type3(except "~" key); PCB almost same as type3; back case same as type2.
Everything more like the TAVA PC series not PHILIPS P2812 series(except the White one eye switch).
front case, I lost the 43key caps
used other keycaps to replace
from NMB 84keys(AQ659ZAT): F1~F5, F7~F10, E, F, C, [ , ← , Num Lock, Scroll Lock, PrtSc *, 0 Ins, Esc, Ctrl, Alt, Caps Lock, 3 Pg Dn
from AT&T KS-23996,L20: Tab
from TeleVideo 905: A, \ , B, D, V, M, > , ? , numeric Enter(Tab keycap), 0~9 , - , +
from DEC keyboard: space small key cap(for left shift)
stander
MMJ for XT(I lost the the original cable)
inside the back case
I take other NMB AT cable with 6pin socket on PCB and test the keyboard,it still work, but can't type the word on windows.
6pin MMJ female
my art photo
front case inside
screws
PCB
change 6pins socket and soldered the new one
numeric area
Caps Lock LED
Num Lock LED
(Linear)old shell for Gundam eye_type1

A yellowed spacebar? That's unusual on a space invader board. Well, in my limited experience at least. Looks like PBT caps with ABS spacebar, as was so common on other switches besides IBM back then.
So, did these Gundam switches come before or after the typical space invaders we're more used to?

Very nice board, and great pictures!
It would appear to be in cleaner condition than my 725, which must've just followed it. It doesn't have the terminal port, either.

Effort: the ultimate hack!
I've got to hand it to Hi-Tek, the Gundam version of those switches looks awesome compared to the later ones. The usual story in keyboards: the older, the better. Reverse evolution.

If you want to find the keyboard with powder blue, please follow the rules:
1. look at the back case label whether the P/N is 114465-003.
2. determine the FCCID is AQ659ZRT-101A
This method is 100% true(except the space bar)

I'm desoldering now. Doesn't try them at all because they're so dirty.
