Don't know, but atleast it is not sitting on the bottom of the PCB. That's my gripe with the Phantom after starting this case.

Logic and feet:

If we do another one, it will need to have the controller SMD mounted onto the PCB.

When I designed my acrylic case, the controller (phantom) and the USB connector (Ficlo) on the bottom of the PCB gave me the most headache. It did however gave my case a good back support for a nice incline at the end. Second to that was the Filco controller sticking up from the mounting plate between the 6-pack and the arrow keys.

If the whole design is flat, it would be a lot easier to make a case for it.

Yes, the centerpiece is from the Phantom, however the Filco plate will fit as well.
Colour is not yet fully chosen, I do however have one colour that I am interested in.

Page 5 Deep black HBL is the one that I am interested in. But if a lot of you want a colour different from the one I've chosen just say it, if it gets enough support over my colour I can change to that colour

Will upload inside shots of the model when it is 100% complete. atm it is 95% complete. Just need the make the Filco cable fit properly. Don't want that cable gland to be in the way.
The back of the keyboard is just flat with screwholes, nothing interesting going on there.

Of the options available, I think that is one of the best colors there.

As the phantom's main aim is to reproduce a cherry tkl board would it be wise to have a choice of beige or black? I think that way if you were using white on black doubleshots it would look great on the main colour choice

But if you were using the black on beige doubleshots something like Sanodal Gold 4n would match better.

I'm worried now as I'm tempted to ask for two if this was the case!

BiNiaRiS might be able to do custom anodizing. But I don't know what kind of colours they have. Starting price is $55, I don't know what colouring will cost.

I just located a Anodizing company that has Sanodal gold 4n in stock, they cost $120 for colouring. And their tub is small, so only one case will fit at a time, maybe this can create the problem the KMAC had...

Edit: I might ad that I will not use this company for the main colour. I was just looking around seeing if I could get a good price for the prototypes. If I anodize them at the main anodizer that will cost me $300.

By the way, is there the possibility for a detachable usb cord?

I will not offer a true detachable cable. I still need to room for the Filco cable in the same design.

Have you decided if the LED holes will be there on the 7bit variant?

This would be a very bad idea, because wher the controller woul'd be are switch positions for the 7BIT layout!

Maybe for the 7bit layout we can get a detachable cable? The regular Filco board isn't supposed to go in that case so it shouldn't matter. Also, I think the regular Filco cable is easily replaced so it wouldn't be much of a hassle for someone to switch it if they're going to be swapping the cases anyway.

There will be both LED holes and no LED holes for all variants.

And I currently only have one design for the bottom piece. That will fit both the Filco and Phantom.

If you want a detachable cable you will need one internal cable that leads to the Teensy. And you will need to make your own cable for that. If people are willing to do this I may fix this.

Found a big block of Bronze at school when I went home.
It's 305x80x23mm so it's nice and heavy

I think I'll make a Raffle for a single case that will have a bronze weight

The pads will be recessed into the bottom. Going to buy 2mm thick pads that are sitting 1mm down.

It's a school that prepares you for work.
In english it's called workcollege I think. Basicaly you study hard for 2 years and then for 6 months of that you are out on internship at different companies. After school most of the students have jobs. Tends to be headhunting at the end of the course

I have one of these periods now. And I'm in school making this instead of being at a company. The company I was supposd to be at called me on the friday the week before and canceled my internship due to lack of work....

So Now I'm working fulltime doing this. And I think I am learning more here than on the company where I was supposed to be at
