[eBay.co.uk] Cherry G80-1306

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... SS:GB:1123

Never seen one like that before, anyone have any more info?

edit - Actually, thinking about it I'm pretty sure I've seen a similar looking board but I didn't think it was Cherry and I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it...

Pretty sure that's a WYSE board that cannot be used with a PC.

It looks A LOT like a DEC LK201, like this one :

I'd be more inclined to suggest that it looks like the DEC LK201 in Peter's post.

See the post before yours, and yeah, the DEC is copy of the 'board in the OP.

The keyboard connected using a 4 position modular connector over which flowed 12 volt power and 4800 bit-per-second asynchronous serial data.

check the links at the bottom of the wiki ...
Maybe Cherry made a clone ? Or it's the wrong box or something ?

not a WYSE for sure...it reminds me a lot of my transtec kb mc420

I am pretty sure it is a cherry oem with mx blacks.
I think there is a definite chance it is a board made on order by cherry...the product code surely points in that direction.

Now, you must clean up the keyboard and upload XXL pictures to the wiki!

---> Cherry G80-1306 <---

ps: What do you mean by 'urgent need' and 'Compose Character'?

I thought about it but I don't really have the time to organize it at the moment; you're welcome to ask the guy though after the success of your Wyse group buy :D.

Called their number and nobody's picking up. I'll drop them a line in the morning and see what we can arrange.

I've got that random auction on the way that we won today so if they've got a few of these I'll pass them on to the usual suspects :)

Everybody :
I bought the first one, haven't received it yet,
and got contacted by the seller, asking if I was interested in purchasing the remaining stock ?
I told them 'yes', but haven't heard from them yet .
They did however disclose the minimum amount they have left !

UPDATE :
They just answered ..
Be back later, when I know how this ends :)

Assuming similar price per unit, and that it has some sort of usable interface like AT or PS/2, I would be interested in one.

I've seen one that had 'US' layout, but was still the exact same ISO board physically. Seems they only changed keycaps for localized variant.
