[Wanted] Solid wrist rest for KBC Poker or HHKB sized keyboard

Looking for a solid wrist rest fitting the size of a Poker or an HHKB. Its width should not be substantially larger than a Poker's or HHKB's width. And it shouldn't protrude too much above either keyboard either.

Hit me if you got anything. :)

I always love the craftsmanship people put into wooden products like that... but to be honest on my desk it would look quite out of place (everything is fancy plastic and metal) so im gonna build me one myself from more fitting materials soon ;)

Where on earth do you even get wood like that?

The burr and edging you can get on ebay, but the actual wood. I just don't know where to get that type of thing.

That actually is the same for me. In case you start a project like that (or find somebody providing you with a wrist rest from fancy plastics/metal) - please do tell! :D

My brother is looking at making wood palm rests to order, his initial plans are to use walnut, oak and maple, but depends on what's available. They will be more basic than Eric's as there won't be a "tray" but will therefore be cheaper. He's visiting some lumber yards today to check out what they have in stock and get prices. I'll post here when plans are firmed up.

Well.. erm.. dont tell anybody, but im trying to turn my hobby of making custom everything in a little business atm and ill also open shop here in DT for small stuff like cables for starters. I do however already see some cross-pollination possibilities where i could start offering my carbon-fibre experience (mostly used for making automotive parts till now) for you keyboard lovers. Atm im having difficulties with shrinkage and stuff on more complex items (so no keycaps or filco cases yet) but i should be able to produce something as relatively large and simple in form as a wrist-wrest in the not too near future.... But no promises yet ;)

I'm def game for some custom solid wrist rest for KBC Race.

Is there no one here with ability for custom acrylic shaping? It shouldn't be that big of cost in terms of material and process but I'd be willing to pay a reasonable fee

Bummer.

But at least I won't feel guilty if I ever copy HIS copy of my switch block idea. I have some walnut lying around.

I recently got two wrist rests from Eric my self and I've got to say I love 'em. Now I really want the thingy for the L-Trac extra buttons as well :(

It's a pity that he's stopped doing this kind of stuff...

So basically nobody knows where the guy can find a wrist rest apart from secret plans at business initiatives and whatnot?

To the OP: attarian sells keyboards and accesories...and I know that he offers wristwrest for poker-sized keyboards, which imo should fit your needs.

Just pm here in DT.

I am still searching.

Unfortunately Attarian never got back to me about those wrist rests (and on his webshop at ohmykb.com there is no Poker-sized wrist rest). :(
