No need for a bidding war
I really don't think there's going to be a bidding war on used G80s with blacks.... They are simply too common, G80 1800s could be had on Amazon.de for under 10€ as recently as last month!

And yet two of them already have reached 20.50 EUR on eBay
when the (same) seller is offering them for a (negotiable!) price of 19 EUR on eBay's small ads site

kbdfr I just read that excelent research you did regarding "BobMoz" and his scam auctions! Very respectable work my friend! Did you also inform Ebay? I hope so. I´m sure he came here to research prices etc. for his scamming.

That Kaypro 4 / 84 went for EUR 201,00 by the way !

Here's a weird Keytronic keyboard - probably from a word processor terminal (German layout?) - $19.75 BIN:

Two tabs and two backtabs... a bit of "tab overkill" there.

Edit: Hey look! Is that a DeskThority key beside the right shift? :D

Definitely German layout. This one is a bit more modern, really good price though:

Here's an SGI keyboard (looks like Keytronic foam & foil) that is an odd combination of VT100 layout (including LEDs) and early IBM PC-look keycaps and colours.

I'd bet it's from around 1984.

I think that "Electric Typewriter" has some sort of old Cherry switches. M7, I think, but I'm not sure. MX compatible.

User avatar

It has Cherry M9, I think, but should MX compatible. There are two types of this typewriter: One with lower keycaps with MX stem, but they hit the MX switch housing and one with higher keycaps that fit perfectly. This seems to be the one with high keycaps.

Same as the one offered on eBay, except it is German ISO instead of ANSI.
I hadn't actually seen a beige 1800 with the 'modern' bottom row before, which is why I said the bottom row was rare. I don't know much about 1800s..
I also have one now..

I bet that after it did not sell for €299,90
and after it did not sell for €259,90
now that you listed it with a starting price of €1 it will sell

Good luck with your sale, but are you sure calling a G80-5000 + G80-5700 a "piece of crap" and "this sucker" is really good advertising?

normally that would be the best procedure, problem with this particular item is that too many people allready know about it.

Just mentioning that auction here is advertising enough...

It is, in a way, but indirectly. Heck people, just list your item on eBay and seebart will post it here... worked for me

Because of the link list format, no one gets an unfair advantage. I can't be the only one who would rather not want to see pages and pages of people praising their auctions like town criers.

Yeah, I did that once. An HHKB that got beyond my reach regardless!

I bet Mindy's 5000 sells for 200-300 Euros, just as he expected. The good of a deadline and a definite sale.

Agreed with Shreebles: much better we have this one rolling section than too many OMG CHECK THIS ON EBAY threads, no matter who starts them.
