[Photos] You know you have a problem when...

I'll let the picture speak first...

Some notes:
  • IBM SSK box is barely visible on the top of the pile
  • The rear pile of the smaller white keyboard boxes is from the bottom...
  • The bottom large box (with the 2 on it) is "full" of NIB Hall Effect keypads :D
  • The 3 boxes on top of the hall effect keypads are full of random keyboards jammed inside (min 6 per box)
  • Got the white boxes from uline, the larger ones even fit (barely) my beam spring keyboard, and my Aydin Controls behemoth
  • What is missing is my large Rubbermaid bin; has a few keyboards, including the muTron, and reams of keyboard parts, keycaps, and random other things related to my adventures in keyboards, controllers, and converters.

I've already acquired 3 more keyboards since this photo was taken...less than a week ago. So it's already out of date.
And yes, that pile is over 6' tall (183 cm).

Anyone else care to embarrass themselves?

I could but not all of my keyboards are stored in the same place. I have three gigantic boxes down in the cellar and a shelf full of boards here in the apartment :)

Just for manhood comparison purposes we should all add the number of boards we have to our profile. :D

I have no idea how many boards I have... I'd say about 40 give or take a few.

I must have 60-70 keyboards now, including many of the Tipros which are for sale. Storage is in my cellar, my writing desk (6 or 7 keyboards) and my office.

@HaaTa: Is there anything interesting you have too many of and want to sell?

Wait till Sixty takes a picture of his little stash.....

Mine can be seen here : http://www.mrinterface.com/allthekeyboardsinagrid Some of those are not with me anymore and I acquired some new ones. This will be updated when my new website is live.

I'd say I have about 50 and I store them in our attic. Will post a picture soon when I'm done harvesting :-)

Probably. I can't guarantee they are fully functional, as I'm confident in my skills to repair any problems when I buy the keyboard.

Unfortunately, some of the more rare ones that I would sell. I want to build converters first for them, and since I wouldn't mind selling them...they are lower down on my list to do a converter for.

But as a quick list:
  • Virtually new TG3 BL82A keyboard with box and blood splatter guard (used it for a week or two)
  • Oki HMB 35957-14 (Oki Gourd Spring, clicky, German Layout)
  • Random BTC Foam'n'Foil (both with rubber dome springs and coil springs)
  • Lots of Keytronic (Black and White available, as well as an Ergo Force)
  • Kaypro 1 Keyboard (I've already made a converter for it, and it's in nice condition)
  • Dirty Fujitsu Peerless :P
  • Hall Effect Keypads :P
  • Desko MOS 5023 (as cool as this thing is, I just can't see myself using it again, also virtually new with box)
  • Kensington ComfortType (TERRIBLE, but oddly amusing)
  • Wheelwriter keyboard insert (I also have 2 wheelwriters, but I'm assuming no one wants to get raped in shipping charges)
  • Sun Type 5C
  • Acer 6511-T
  • G80-8200HPDUS-2 (it's cool, has MX Browns, programmable, but I just don't care about cherry stuff anymore, well unless it's an ergo board)
  • A new Radioshack Colecovision keyboard replacement, domes but has nice doubleshots

PM me for prices. I'm not in a hurry to sell this stuff, but it would be nice to move it to more appreciating hands.

Checkout the Fujitsu Magnetic Reed switch wiki for my latest rare keyboard (Sony OA-S3400).

And yes, the wheelwriters were missing from the pic above :P

"You know you have a problem when..." You have a keyboard storage safe/garage?
And when you feel like buying moar when you've just done just that, bought moar than you thought reasonable.
(damn desko and hall-effect pads eyeballin' me)

At first it looked like the door of a moving van; then I noticed the floor...

Bonus points to anyone who can guess the keyboard in the Cherry box. And yes, it is a Cherry keyboard.
