I'm assembling an ergodox keyboard with the component kit from Czarek. Everything was rolling along nicely until i was to solder the teensys mini usb cables to the PCB.

The problem is I cannot find out which color cable represents which. In the instruction from massdrop it states:
Black - GND
White - D-
Green - D+
Red - 5V


However, there are four cables in my mini usb cable of the following colors:
Blue
Green
Brown
Orange

Anyone have any idea which cables is what, gnd, 5v, d+ and d-?

Use a multimeter to see which pin on the mini-usb plug connects to which wire.

Thanks alot, I took your advice and took a reading with a multimeter.

The order seems to be:
brown (Pin 1) 5V
orange (Pin 2) D-
green (Pin 3) D+
blue (Pin 4) GND
