Nixdorfs! For just 6 Euros each? Well, they do come with diodes…

You're getting into the switch collector's market, now. Even I'd find it hard to make a keyboard out of that little lot!

Hey 7bit (or anyone), what's your opinion on MX white switches? I have a few samples and they feel a bit softer / less noisy than MX blue. And less stiff/scratchy than MX clears..
I was thinking of making a clear switch with clear or white stems but I'm not quite sure which will feel the nicest. MX blue is the loudest I assume. I don't feel like ordering all of them :D
Do you also sell white or clear stems separately?

I doubt he sells separate stems.

White is significantly quieter than MX blue (or green) but is still technically a clicky switch. Whites are essentially factory lubed blues. Meanwhile clear has no click at all.

So whites are factory lubed? I saw something on GH about this, didn't know the modern switches would also have them (not at home right now to open up the switch). I thought the click mechanism was different as well.. I've got blues on order right now but haven't had a board with blues yet. Only typed on one of my brother and I thought it was pretty loud but I liked the click. But if whites are more quiet I would lean towards that. I have strong doubts about clears since they have such a heavy bump and feel quite stiff, feels quite awkward when I tried them. Would be ashame if I didn't like those after assembly.

With my little experience so far i can say about MX Whites that they are quieter than Blues and Greens, but almost feel the same. I switched from Blues to Whites (and some Greens) on my Filco board. I have also the issue (like others or everyone), that they sound a little bit different each other, so some are louder, and some quieter. But i don't have a problem with it, since i'm almost all the time bottoming out and a different sound of each key is no problem for me or annoys me. I tried to filter the bad boys out before soldering, but as i found out it didn't help that much - afterwards a bad switch was good and vice versa.
