I've always wanted to try linear clears, not enough to have a typewriter shipped over from Germany though.

Maybe a very kind proxy to unsolder the switches and send them you, we're cloth to christmas after all !

Are you talking about these:

:?

You can actually buy them from me, for 0.10 EUR per switch!

Even better, I plan to create some PCBs and mount plates where they can be mounted on.

Not those, I think I got one of them with the last batch of switches I got from you. The ones in Ascaii's op are the ones I wanted to try.

Wow! This Russian guy went to great lengths to find all the different ergo keyboards he could, and they are amazing!

Boards with split personalities! Interesting. I had no idea there were so many of them.

Boards which resemble the hands we use to work them!

Nice little virtual collection. Of course, a lot of them were made by people on this very forum! Would be nice if he made each image a link to its original source, as they're not high resolution anyway.

Ah, that's just a translation. Here's the guy's original (which includes his name, that one doesn't…) and a good looking comments thread:

Now I know why German shipping is so cheap. They've got their own Imperial Starport.

The "light speed" delivery option is quite expensive though.[emoji41]

Well that's because engaging the hyperdrive takes a lot of fuel.

Here in Canada, all our shipping is handled by the Jawas.

Thanks! Will follow that and maybe get it for my PET 700, always good with spare parts. Seems like the same keyboard just different caps.

EDIT: was a little different when I checked, but hope it's the same switches.

Anyone know if that is NKRO? Think I saw that Muirium posted that F's are NKRO but M's are 2KRO?

F-122 is NKRO. Significantly better board than the Terminal Ms.

22 Dec 2014, 21:00

Ghosting is caused by the key matrix circuit not detecting current flow properly. All capacitive switch boards are innate NKRO since it doesn't use current flow to detect key press.

USB Realforce boards are 6KRO only because Topre is too lazy to work on their USB HID.

There's a pretty good example of ghosting in this photo:

andrewjoy

as XT caps are awesome ? 1 part baby :)

but the case does look a bit ratty however it should clean up well the bar between the F keys looks intact too ( a common failure point)

Not me. The shipping stated on eBay are usually way too much and there's no way to get these sellers to ship as gift and at FedEx quotes ($25-ish to Canada).

By the looks of it, eBay rips off sellers in the selling price, and buyers in the shipping price; both around 10% or so.
