Re: Ergo Keyboard Expo
Thanks for sharing. Were all of the boards from your collection and how many people were at the event? The Typematrix 2030 isn't mine. The owner uses a customised bepo layout. It's really good to meet someone else with an interest in these things.

This time, it's held at Microgaming's office (They let a local tech group I belong to use one of their meeting rooms in their frankly gorgeous building).

In the unlikely event you find yourself on the Isle of Man later this week, I'm exhibiting some of my collection, along with a brief presentation.

Re: Left-handed vertical mouse: how steep is the learning curve?
Just keep going. Vertical mice (left or right) feel really clumsy at first, and after a few years I'm still faster with a flat mouse in my right hand, but after a while that would start to hurt. In my my, the transition was well worth it.

Re: Pop up Keyboard Museum
I have to admit to just using a laptop at home, but then I don't tend to type much outside of work. I do have a few 'normal' boards, too.
Nice spot! The M15 was quite popular, along with the cherry and the cykey. I tend towards ergo keyboards as I have an issue with my nerves in my arms (not as ...

Pop up Keyboard Museum
I joined a tech group just a few weeks back, they were thinking of a subject for the following week so I mentioned that I had a collection of ergo boards that might be of at least some interest.
Here's how it turned out...
Had some nice comments, and someone suggested doing it again during litfest ...

Sadly, the Simon Andrews memorial lap, dedicated to the riders who have lost their lives to the races, had to be cancelled due to a crash before the roads were closed for it.

Thanks for organising! Your pm made me chuckle to myself for a few days.
Brutal is a good description, slightly over 100 years of races has claimed over 250 lives.

I met my second keyboard enthusiast today!

Any smaller than the frogpad, you'll end up with something like the gkos.

Re: What is the oldest keyboard in your collection?
I used my zx81 enough to put a dent in the shift key. I gave that one to a friend when I was still at school, but I picked up another 81 about 10 years ago. So, that's my oldest at the moment.
