Github's Atom is another option:

https://atom.io/

I've only used it myself recently for a small markdown document and it's pretty straightforward.
It has a built-in package manager for extending the functionality.

Keyboard with permanent keycaps

Hi all,

Does anyone know of keyboards with non-removable keycaps? Something that kids wouldn't be able to mess with. I know there are vandal-proof keyboards but they seem to be quite pricey, £180+, mainly because they're also weather proof and industrial. Also it doesn't need to be mechanical ...

Model M replacement keys UK/EU

Hi everyone,

I wanted to know whether anyone knows of alternative sources to get Model M replacement keys in the UK or EU in general. I'm primarily looking for a spacebar as the existing one is damaged but also might consider getting an alternative full keyset such as blanks. I know Unicomp sells ...

Any news on the due date for this? I'd also be interested for 2-3 with an EU proxy.

Nice idea, I'm a software developer but since my experience with C# is limited I'd go for testing or Linux development.

Oh, it's a large terminal board (122-key).

I don't have any of those. Maybe someone who has one could chime in. The "normal"-sized boards weigh beween 2 and 2.6 Kg, so I would guestimate something between 3 and 4.5 Kg.
I think that Royal Mail is the least expensive, but I know that it is not cheap ...

Shipping in EU

I recently acquired a Model M 1394324 which will be sent to a friend in the UK until I sort out shipping. What would be the best choice for shipping this from the UK to Cyprus (EU)? I don't know what the size and weight of this keyboard are so it's hard to estimate the costs, perhaps someone who has ...

Focus Electronic FK-2000 Plus

Hi all,

I've just started looking into mechanical keyboards and have found an old Focus Electronic FK-2000 Plus with a manufacture date of June 1993. It has diagonal arrow keys with a Turbo key in the middle and a Macro key instead of a Windows key. The keys are white ALPS clones as far as I can ...
