Hmm, maybe I have to up my cleaning method then, because my Imstos don't feel like new after I treated them with Corega tabs and they've "just" seen 8 months of use thus far. Of course, they are still far better than ABS.

It's too early for a conclusion, but here are a few impressions:


I think that because the tactile bump is so near at the top, the keys feel much more sturdy and ankered than the Cherry switches and that that contributes much to the quality typing feel you get from this keyboard.

Just received my 87u 55g and I love it. It's as good as I hoped. Best I can describe it is that it comes close to the feeling of one of my old IBM thinkpad models. Fresh out of the box, the 55gs seem a bit heavy, but still ok (brown and reds felt too light to me). I will report back when I have more ...

Thanks Hypersphere, that's good to know :) I agree. If you really need the hidden numpad, then you would have to memorize the keys anyway. I searched for the black caps, but it seems they have them only with hangul lettering (at least atm):

Thanks for the intel. I've seen the sets on ebay; ludicrously expensive! The colors are great, but it's a shame that they don't have black to replace the primaries. Are these exactly of the same type/quality as the original keys? How longn do they hold up compared to your imstos?

I'm considering buying a 55g RF, but am worried about the expensive replacement keycaps. How good are PBT caps that come with the board? I'm currently using thick PBTs from imsto, but I seem to have to replace them every 6-9 months. I guess the Topre keycaps are of the same quality, right?

Damn, can't wait to get my hands on one of these! Hope that CM will listen to it's user base and spare us the rubberized finish on this board, same as they did with the branding.
