Ah! You seem to be right! The "@ '" and the "| \" are strangely placed on the same key... And it was indeed in a French shop where the guys seemed to had a lot a trouble typing on it! Because obviously, some keys didn't typed what was written on it... The layout was set in "FR" in Windows but hey ...

Nope. Not that I know of. Topre has a monopoly on that mount. Not through patent (they expired long ago) but through disinterest. And not our disinterest! But SP's etc.

just to be clear. the GB already tipped and you are getting what you paid for. no question about that.

I do use the menu key but CTRL+SHIFT+Fn+F10 is a lousy option for this.

The AutoHotKey is a good alternative though.

It's Fn+Right Ctrl on my wireless Logitech. It might be Fn with one of the right side modifiers on your keyboard as well.
