As a 60% guy this looks to me like an aircraft carrier where 60% boards are supposed to land on, refuel, take a nap and fly off to new missions.

Microswitches are more widely known than Micro Switch. They're used in mice and joysticks and various things, so they are a popular item for electronics hobbyists. I heard of them years before I got into keyboards and laid my hands on a Honeywell!
