Apparently Geekhack used to use VigLink and has switched to skimresources.

Is deskthority using similar software to make money from external links?

I'm quite sure we don't make money from external links.

All we do is making money with group buys, ie loosing money, I mean.

I doubt webwit would ever install something that affects the user's privacy.
It's bad enough that Tapatalk wraps each external link to go through their own redirect service for some reason.

We don't use any external parties or trackers.

Tapatalk has an option to share profits on external links, but we don't have that activated. It surprises me they still wrap the links.

Besides the privacy issues which makes it a no-go, I doubt that there is any money in it. A forum would need many viagra, plane ticket, amazon links? I don't think we have external links which can be monetized.

Piwik is self-hosted so the usage data is sent to webwits server :P
