I found this keyboard on a local auction site. It appears to have some unbranded Alps-like switches. Are those any good? Is it worth buying for ~$12? Can't find much information about it.
Update. Found this thread on Geekhack: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=22255.5
Doesn't look encouraging...
Costar CSK-7102 (Alps-like switches) — any good?

If the caps are indeed alps compatible it may be worth it for that depends on how yellow they are

Hm, those switches look like they could be related to the KPT/TEC family (http://deskthority.net/wiki/KPT_switch ) or 'square alps' which i seen some people call them.
Never seen any in black before though so i could be wrong.
Edit, after checking around a little more i think i found them: they are known as Alps.tw Type OD1 (http://deskthority.net/wiki/Alps.tw_Type_OD1 )

If you don’t want it, I’m trying to put together a massive switch tester with every Alps-mount switch I can get my hands on. I’d be happy to buy the board or a handful of loose switches.

The keyboard is described as being "mostly in working order but with some keys very stiff." I will contact the seller today.jacobolus wrote: ↑If you don’t want it, I’m trying to put together a massive switch tester with every Alps-mount switch I can get my hands on. I bet if you were willing to do a TKL conversion, you could salvage enough switches from the tenkey area to replace all the bad ones elsewhere.stratokaster wrote: ↑The keyboard is described as being "mostly in working order but with some keys very stiff." I will contact the seller today.

Hmm, found it too today, but if you want it, I won't be betting on it. Besides, I wanted to get it for caps - they seems to be with pad-printed Cyrillic letters, but still they're nice.stratokaster wrote: ↑The keyboard is described as being "mostly in working order but with some keys very stiff." Кстати, все равно дороговато. Я недавно купил клавиатуру с Alps-подобными переключателями всего за 70. Но там пробел треснут, и наклейки на светодиоды нету. Хоть и работает.
