Couple of years ago I made aluminum plates for cherry mx-5000.
Some people say they prefer the originality but I can't stand with soft and weak original cherry pcbs.

So I made some for me and friends in Korea. ;D

Very cool! Were you also the one who made the replacement PCBs for the G80-5000? I remember seeing them around a few years ago.

PS: On this topic I disagree with you. For brown switches I prefer them on the thin Cherry PCB and without a plate! Black and Blue is better with a plate, no doubt.

YES!! I strongly agree. Actually those pictures are just for samples and also tried on cherry mx brown, white and blue
with g80-5000. My favorite is black switch with plates.

For non-click, I think mx white with plate is better than brown. ;)

BTW, I'm not the person who made replacement PCBs. His nick name is 'QQ(in Korean)' in OTD.

those are double shot or sublimated caps?

I think its double shot, you can see it because some are shiny :D
PBT sublimation ones tend to last longer before they get shiny, if ever.

My Realforce PBT spacebar is pretty shiny...

Same here after about a year of heavy use. Spacebar on my realforce is terribly shiny, none of the other keys shows any sign of wear on the Realforce. Are we actually sure its the same type of plastic as the other keys? I remember them having a different color in flash pictures. Then again, ripster probably boiled one in water by now.
