Its a very strange plugger switch with Cherry MX compatiable keycaps.

So far have found very little about it except it was made by a company call Quimax in the mid 80's and came with their PX-22 monitor.

That's really cool. Looks like it might be some sort of inductive sensing. Is the cylinder ferrite?

It does seem to be a ferrite.

Just looked up inductive Sensing. It sounds about right.

I really like this linear switch, super smooth (very little friction) and requires very little effort to activate. Want to test this with gaming soon. (The space bar currently has issues with board in picture but will explain it later.)

Weird. Does it have NKRO? Is it AT, by any chance?

I have a couple of these kinds of keyboards. The switches are magnetic valve type.
