Of course someone had to grab the largest and heaviest keyboard.

I was fortunate enough to acquire this from Kishy. Technically, this is the definitive "KishUnSaver" in the flesh.

I want to something different than my akg k712 and was looking at either the Huffman he 4xx (220€new) or getting into Stax and getting a Lambda Pro.. the hd650 or the hd6xx is also of interest ;)

Indeed, you can get the 4XX on Massdrop as well as the HD6XX (same as the HD650) and also HD58X.

I'm partial to Sennheiser, I have everything fom the 580 Precision to the 800S as well as a few of the new, cheaper 5 series. That's what I settled on after a long yourney through much more expensive headphones.
I have never been a fan of planars although I had a few (LCD-2 and LCD-XC). Same for electrostats, I had the 007MkII.

Go for the 650/6XX if you want more bass and a more fun sounding headphone, the 600 if you want it lighter with more emphasis on the highs. Can't tell you about the 58X as I still have to hear it, I ordered it from MD.

Depending on what your use will be (gaming and movies or music mainly) you might consider a 700 for gaming.
The HD660S is great if you don't have a dedicated or powerful amp but if you're using a K712 you should have or you can't get the best out of these. I had the K701, 712 and now the 7XX and these can sound rather dull with inadequate amping. In any case they will always sound more neutral than any of the Senns, the Senns are more musical and enjoyable.

The black Model M is for the key caps, just_add_coffee is restoring a F122 for me and I like my boards black. The Cherry Board has Hi-Pro PBT key-caps (linky) . The rest are tools for keyboard figgeting stuff. I was thinking about selling the Cherry board since the purchase was an impulse one, but after feeling the key and the key caps, I'm thinking of keeping it.

Edit;
Just noticed the right Shift-key of the Model M is all whack. Some other legends are crap, too.

So... on that subject, you may be able to get a black M122 case that you could modify for the F122:

No, it is a proprietary IBM protocol, I imagine. Kishy has some great information on his site at http://kishy.ca/?p=648

Pretty sure there's converters you can use to put twinax on the network. We used them when I worked in retail security.

More like stuff I've just installed.

Got these M-Audio AV32.1 for cheap about a month ago—for my dad, who was looking to upgrade his awful TV setup. I tested them over a weekend, gave them to him and now he's returned them to me, because the subwoofer almost destroyed his wine glasses on display. OTOH his corgi supposedly loved lying down in front of the subwoofer and howling (to Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother iirc).

They're really bassy, but for me it's a nice change coming from a headphones-only lifestyle.

Never thought I would find something like this. An unassembled Cromemco JS-1 Joystick Console. Complete with unopened pouches (that I can't open without cutting the bag) Cherry M61-0100 switches and appropriate double-shot key caps. This joystick is similar to Pyrelink's here.

Today I finally received the Keytronic APL foam and foil keyboard. It uses the old PCB mounted switch type with the square stem, the shift lock switch is even magnetic reed. The key feel is quite smooth and surprisingly light (apart from the space bar which has over 150g bottom out weight and the remainder of the bottom row which is also somewhat stiff), similar to mx black, I measured key travel to be about 5.1mm. As expected, the foam has completely degraded and compressed, which probably causes the absence of mushiness. In my restoration I plan to use springs for the capacitive sensing, in order to avoid the mushy feeling.
The keycaps look much darker in person, the pictures really don't do them justice. Will take better & more pictures once I begin with the restoration.

Yes, I should have worded that better; I plan on tracing the matrix and installing some sort of cap sense controller to convert it to USB.
