I know this is old, but I'm still messing with my Keycat. Just hooked it up to a computer I needed to get some data from.

The CAT led probably indicates that the C1, C2, C3 are active. They appear to mimic the functions of the mouse buttons. C1 is the left click and C3 is the right click. C2 I'm not sure. It's fun.

I'm not sure how to inactivate that LED although it although it may just be by disconnecting the serial part of the board. I found the keyboard reacts poorly to being partially connected. One motherboard I had could handle it, others would act as if letters were held down and repeat.

This model has the Futaba Clicky switch(Cherry MX mount)and this FCCID also has the white alps switch(maybe the SKCM)!
Please notes that on wiki.
