Unitek did some interesting things on several of their KBs in terms of reducing the length (pretty much getting to the size of modern day TK or an inch longer than an average TKL). They used at least a few OEMs to accomplish that; most notably, Dah Yang and Nan Tan (NTC). Nice example from ramnes' photos of Unitek K-158: http://deskthority.net/photos-f62/unite ... 10314.html.
Unitek K-258 was manufactured by Nan Tan (NTC), although NTC also marketed it under their own name as Nan Tan KB6551. It appears that Dah Yang also manufactured this KB a year later (FCC ID: DKW67MK-258). Anyways, K-258 is an attractive KB with white Alps switches.
After some dusting and minor cleaning:
NTC board:
White Alps:
Bottom label and stuff:
FCC ID: FMAKB6551 issued on 04/12/1990 to:
Nan Tan Computer Co
