Now that I'm back in the Bay Area again, I can start replenishing my keyboard pic albums

Oh, and it works! Though only somewhat without the OS disks (that didn't come with it...).

I tried to clean it...but that white paint spatter...

The switches are a type of Foam and Foil capacitive. Likely designed by General Instrument.

I checked that out- very cool! I couldn't help but wonder if you could find someone with the ability to create you a boot floppy for it.

Snuci? :)

Systel runs CP/M but is synonymous with electric typewriters. I don't have one or any floppies for it but it is a fairly rare system. Sadly, it's one of those ones that are so uncommon that it is not sought after. It's a pretty interesting just the same. If I ever come across disk images for this, I will let you know HaaTa.

If you want to remove the paint, you can probably just use some paint thinner. Just be careful if, by chance, the key caps have painted characters.

Never seen this clicky foil and foam. Is that an variant of Key Tronic?
And the pressed feeling seems excellent. What is the pressed felling compare with another mechanical switch?

It's not clicky per-say. There's a click speaker :D

Though, I do have a clicky Kay Pro foam'n'foil around.

What!? The click sounds were came from a speaker...Is that black speaker inside the keyboard?

Yeah, that black cylinder thing with a hole in it. A sort of speaker/transducer.
