I've had a chat with SIIG and Monterey. Monterey have provided the identity of the mystery keyboard behind the SIIG MiniTouch: it is the Monterey K110 (and the Chinese/Japanese version is the K111). The reason why the FCC ID ends "110P" is because it was registered with the FCC together with the companion numeric keypad, the K110P. Monterey also sent me a photo of the K110P, which may be the first time anyone has ever seen one.

The K110P attaches to the K110 V1 by way of the 6P6C modular connector on the back. As of the K110 V2, the jack became redundant and was eventually removed altogether. SIIG dug out the 1999 BOM for the keyboard:

1. Effective immediately, the feature that allows users to connect an optional keypad with a built-in RJ-11 connector has been removed from V2. Currently the keyboard (V2) still physically comes with a non-functional RJ-11 connector. Starting with the next shipment by April 1998, the RJ-11 connector will be permanently removed. Description of this feature has been excluded from color sleeve and user’s manual.
2. BOMs #07-0178A, B and C are superseded.

The V2 revision might explain the SunTouch Jr. mentioned in this topic has a different controller and why the jack is all wired up — I am guessing that it is a V1:

I don't think my keyboard is a MiniTouch, nor webwit's one with the SMK switches: mine is unbranded, as is his. The controller chip on mine reads "9615", which—assuming 1996 week 15—would place it before the date where the jack was removed, but not that much earlier, which is why I've got it, but it doesn't work. I also have no trouble with running it through PS/2 to USB.

You've made a lot of ground in a short time with these compact boards. I wonder how rare the K110P is and if it was ever re-branded? Even the SMK 'Monterey' K110 is hard to come by now which is a shame because I'd *really* like one

Ah, he's confirmed the FCC ID exactly as Monterey told me (same ID as the US layout keyboard; the Japanese K111 came along a few years later).

Sadly I've never had any luck trying to contact kaineko2.

I don't think so. I did suggest to Eddie that if they do have anything lying around that they don't want, that they offer it to Deskthority (as Cherry UK are doing). He'll let me know if he finds anything. He was pleased to learn that these keyboards are still working after all this time.

Real ones? The wiki needs some actual MiniTouch photos, as all the photos at the moment (possibly barring 002s, as I can't tell what that one is) are unbranded K110 not MiniTouch.
