I sent cumb.de an email through their web form a couple of days ago.
I've just checked my emails, and once again, I've received an automated response saying the message hasn't been delivered. I've therefore resent my message to the two email addresses provided in this thread. I'll let you guys know whether I'm more successful this time.

A quick update. The good news is that I haven't received any messages saying that my latest emails have not been delivered. The bad news is that I haven't had a response from the seller. I can see this is going to be hard work.
I'm now pondering what to do next. Maybe I'll try converting my email to German using google translate.

You could just ask one of the German members on this forum to help you with it?grasshopper wrote:A quick update. Thanks for that.sinis wrote: let me know if I can help you with correspondance in german language.
I'd be grateful if you could translate the following for me:
Hi,
Can you tell me whether you would be willing to ship three G80-1800 keyboards to my address in the UK, and if so, how much the shipping cost would be?
Also, can you tell me the full model number of the USB version of the G80-1800 keyboard that you're selling?
Thanks for your help.

Hey all,
I have somewhen read somewhere around DT that somebody ( xD ) bought several of these and also got some with doubleshots. Can anybody affirm this fact?
Ascaii, IIRC you mentioned u worked there? Do you know about doubleshots-ones there or do you have one?
Best regards!

Has anyone here successfully communicated with this company recently, and if so, how did you do it? I'm getting increasingly frustrated by their lack of response to my emails.

To be quite honest its hard even for germans to communicate with them since the entire company is made up of egyptian and other arab emigrees. Ill give them a call this week or next week and shake the metaphorical tree.

I don't know if it's just me, but I srsly can't find any...mintberryminuscrunch wrote:why dont u just buy some double shots off ebay?
Especially no g80-1800 layout ones.
And even if I bought 10 boards from cumb.de to get one doubleshot-board, I would pay less than 20 €

Grasshopper - if you manage to get something out of them, let me know as I'd be interested in a couple too - I'd also split the postage with you, and then postage to myself (or if you live in London, I'd meet you there and grab them off you.)

I want to replace the caps on this - but the right shift looks like a really odd size, can anyone with this board clarify what kind of cap I'd have to get for this? I'm assuming I can just get a set of Filco caps for the rest of the board but this one I will have to get something special for.

The G80-1800's right Shift key is 1.75, exactly the same size as the CapsLock key (but with a centered stem).

Interesting, are such sized keys hard to come by? I noticed that the right shift on my choc mini is the same size as caps, but I'm assuming that I'd also have the same kinda issue if I wanted to replace the caps on this too?

Hey, I just want to share my experiences with this seller. I just received the keyboards I ordered from them. Well, nearly all of them. I ordered 10 PS/2 and 2 USB G80-1800, but only received 9 and 2. Looks like I have to give them a call. And even though the boards are offered as "cleaned" (gereinigt on German btw.) they definitely aren't. I even found 5 paper clips in one of them. Good thing I opened it before plugging it in, as one of them was lying on the soldering points of the cable.
But on the other hand, these boards are fully functional, and when you clean them they are as good as most boards on ebay. And I don't think there is another place where you could get mechanical keyboards for only 1€.
So if they send me the missing keyboard too I will be absolutely happy with my purchase.
edit:
huh, now it's getting complicated, a friend of mine, for whom I ordered one of the PS/2s originally wanted a USB. So now I have exactly the amount of PS/2s I wanted for myself, but have 1 USB too less. Maybe I can get them to send me USB instead of a PS/2 when I pay the shipping for them.
