Fujitsu rubber dome boards (such as FKB4800) also have integrated LEDs.

The domes look interesting. Very Topre-ish.

No spring though. Looks more like video game controllers of the time, break open an NES controller you'll see

The spring doesn't change the feel of a topre dome. The spring is only there for the sensing mechanism, and I recall that its bottoming-out force is only 5 grams. It doesn't change the feel much at all.

However, yes, it does look like a standard conductive rubber dome (given the fact that it's grey and not translucent), but it's actually a membrane dome. I've only seen these kinds of domes on various boards like the Microsoft Internet Keyboard.

Did you swap the keycaps on those? Just wondering why the keycaps on the Nixdorf look more yellowed than the ones on the Siemens while the case looks less yellowed than the Siemens.

If there's a pic of label which would render my question obsolete, I didn't find it!

Both of mines have exactly the same layout that yours. Yours' case color looks exactly like my Siemens one, which model number is 3299-N464-V001. But I guess this model number is particular to Nixdorf, just like your picture shows Honeywell numbering I think. Though, I'm pretty sure that our PCBs have very close PNs.

Nop, I didn't swap anything, everything is original. I think the keycaps don't have the same color from the beginning.

It seems to me that the Nixdorf-Computer caps are made of a darker beige, which indeed look yellowed but which aren't. Just like Goupil keycaps.

Cleaning keyboards is tough!

- Manufactured on 10/05/88 (timestamp on the housing)
- Cherry PCB model number G80-0689H/1B
- The base and the top are different shades of 'grey'

Man... I used to have a ColecoVision ADAM system. I got it free, when I was a kid, and only had to fix it. came with plenty of games. My youngest brother fed it mashed potatoes... twice... First time, I got it cleaned out... Second time, it was really ded. The keyboard was something I had planned to salvage but a "friend" who had shown an "interest" in electronics, just decided to tear it apart, destructively, without asking. He was more interested in breaking stuff. I don't miss grade school. Oh well... You can't win 'em all. At least college was great though!
