Mrinterface,
how do we find the way to your place? Will there be a trail of key caps to follow from the center of Best? Or do we have to ask for your address at the local e-waste recycling center?

There was Model Ms galore, next to a Ya Sheng buckling spring, a Japanese IBM board with Brother BS, two M2s...enough buckling springs for you?
Thanks to everyone that was there, it was great to finally get to meet you all!

that board in the first pic was some Access board, and I checked the model for you; and then forgot it promptly.
That what you meant?
Was absolutely awesome to finally see the chicks behind the nicks!
For next time, I've gotta remember to actually actively test and compare them all, but man.. time flies.
Tested too many to truly form a balanced opinion on most. But Blues I like. And properly used Model M's.
We really need to have an 'Interkeys' festival sometime...
Also, TIL: Cherry marks the switch-stems according to switch-style, or not:
*Linears have the cutout nook in the front,
*Tactiles have the cutout nook in the back,
*TactileClicky's have the cutout nook in the back and a protruding dot on the left on the flat part of the stem,
*yet browns have the cutout in the front.
The fuck is this shit Cherry?! #2

Note that the posted pics were basically pre-party, at around 4 the main tables was about twice as full (with boards on the chairs and floor as well), the kitchen counter was full of boards, and the coffee table (not pictured) same story. And there was a stack of boards in boxes.
Thanks:
*MrInterface for the initiative and hosting part (and ActualMrsInterface for allowing such)
*everyone for coming and bringing stuff!
*MrInterface&CeesA for giving me one of the filthy beat up boards from the last score, as donorhousing for:
*Ascaii's old mx-blue stems (and the wicked Devlin produced doubleshot numpad numbers)
*Myself for only now realising I'm still missing the springs, seeing Blacks are on the board -__-*
^will try in a bit with MY springs, but betting on fail
*Myself for only now realising 2 the cable needs to be replaced (there is none)
I Missed:
*Testing the Realforce
*The mouseboard with the moving mouse-pad part (but haven't seen that at the party)
*Actually remembering/judging/discussing the white/blue/.. Alps, Monterey's, Topre's (HHKB2), even Clears, and probably others. I do recall the Monterey's as nice, but quite similar to White Alps; which I'm sure is not quite the case with getting a more refined feel for them (i.e. longer and purposeful side-by-side testing)
*Properly testing and discussing staggered(collumn)/matrix layouts.
Hoping you cats are enjoying beers still, and the pretty lame match!

I did steal away with the poor mans topre for a minute for old times sake...I had a quietkey before I found my first Dell AT104W. What I notice now and feel sad about is that we did not test the fit of the Dell Quietkey caps on a realforce...supposedly they will fit Topre switches.off wrote:Awww, totally forgot about that one, never saw it once we were inside (though I actually remember carrying it in). Now I'm sad tooVax wrote:Still a little bit sad my super awesome Dell Quietkey didn't get more attention....
On a side note, I am uploading the pictures for the party to my dropbox...ill post the link here later if no one minds.

It was a great party guys...! I'm glad you all liked my hosting
It started at 13:00 and ended around 19:00 because me, ascaii, 7bit and Kurrk went for a nice dinner in Eindhoven. We intended to watch the soccer game, but we ended up talking until 10:30 . ( And yes, sometimes the subject was not about keyboards
)
@Ceesa : I think you are missing a keyboard. Did you leave it for me to harvest? *very evil grin* . 7Bit took it since the shipping to you from Germany would be cheaper....B.t.w. that Deck board I got from you is really nice.
@Ascaii : I'll eagerly await the first prototype of our discussed cherry mx center stem adapter set.
@all : Next time in Germany? I'm still into visiting Berlin so I could combine it.

If the next party takes place in Germany I might be able to get there as well. That would make me happy! Getting to Berlin would still be pretty pricey, but not as much as it would have been to the Netherlands.
Nice to hear, that you all had fun!

It really was a great opportunity to meet other keyboard enthusiasts, discuss stuff, make plans, phantasize about future projects and - of course - enjoy the pole dancer's incredible performance. Mrinterface, thanks again for hosting this event. I'm absolutely looking forward to the next meeting wherever it well be
