I know one used to exist on Geekhack. Does anyone know where one is or can post how to do it? Something about messing up the paint by jamming a butter knife in and detaching 4 clips on both the front and back.

I would like to do picture tutorials for things like this on the deskthority wiki, but I'm just not sure how to format it.
I can help you on how to open the Filco later today if someone hasn't answered it by then, but in general you just remove the screws and pry the case open with a knife as you mentioned.
If you're worried about scratches you can wrap some thin material over the knife but it obviously increases the width of it so you want to try and find a thin one.

I'm using small spatulae for opening Filcos. Basically anything that is thin, sturdy and doesn't produce too many scratches is fine. A credit card may work as well. Just run it along the edges and don't be scared; the Filco case is somewhat flexible.
BTW, I think I saw Ceesa using a card for opening his Noppoo Choc.

I love how he says we don't know how to do wiki pages when he can't even get his head around formatting a table.
I actually got a funny PM from a user 'Noodles265' on learning "How The Pros do Wikis You Cunt!". Likely a dig at the posts on this thread. Never change Ripster, you charmer, you.
