Can you talk them into sending you samples of their red dyesub on grey? Versus blue and another monochromatic shade, for instance…

Red is definitely the preferred colour for Cyrillic, and several of the nerddom caps. (EVA forever!)

I'll definitely ask for some sublimation tests.

Please consider yellow and orange for Cyrillic test prints

yellow won't be really possible. Maybe orange.

A test is a test, you might be surprised. Throw in green if they'll let you, and maybe purple…

yea throw me some green purple in, gonna light that up! :kidding:
purple will look great!

I asked for some print tests, indeed I'd like purple. Yellow would be barely visible, maaaaybe a dark orange.

By the way: the Cyrillic kit's left aligned legends won't go well with centred ones at all. It would be better off with its own full number row rather than depending on the common kit to fill the blanks. (Mocking up now.)

Here we go:

Not as bad as it could be (which speaks volumes for Matteo's skilled taste) but imperfect nonetheless.

'bout time that blue enter showed up

Yeah and we need the blue enter as blue ISO enter too, is this possible?

actually i did it on purpose, the base/common kit is mandatory.

I understand your motivation. I just dispute the results!

Same here. It'd be nice, but a real stretch. How much would it inflate the ISO Enter kit to throw one in for everyone, whether they like it or not?

There isn't an 1,25u Enter (GH60 Max Keys)?

When in doubt: Nerddom.

Indeed…

I'd keep the common numrow instead of getting the two alignments jumbled up like that.

My exact thoughts. Cyrrilic should have it's own numrow with all legends aligned properly

matt3o What are the reasons behind this decision?

I'll try to do my best to make the cyrillic kit compatible with the other legends. I don't want people to get the Cyrillic instead of the base set because we need to reach high tier on the base set, sorry. The kit has been added at the very last moment, and I hadn't too much time to thing about it. All in all I believe you should be happy I've been able to sneak it into the Granite set because it wasn't planned.

I have a good way to keep people off the Cyrillic set: double its price! As long as the common kit is a great value, people will order it in droves. Only the crazy among us want the Cyrillic, and we'll naturally get both.

Cyrillic I guess it will go around $20 as it is now. Adding all the common keys would make it $43 (at 25 tier which is already optimistic), doubling the price would mean $86. Really?

That is discrimination :?

matt3o What makes you think Cyrillic set will be more popular or even close to basic set?

it simply dilutes the buyers, because some might take it just for the "cool" factor. The alternative would be to remove the current cyrillic set and place it back in a more complete form only if we reach high tiers with the other sets.

That would be very smart indeed!

I expect it will have a higher price anyway, with more work to make it (two passes of dye sub) and less buyers for a volume discount.
