Note there are some extra steps to make it stick past the current x-session, described at the first link below.

How do I remap certain keys?
Remapping keys on Ubuntu with xmodmap and xev
the keycode for <> key is 94, being that without shift is <(less) and with shift pressed is >(greater)

the keycode for control left is 37, Control_L the keycode for z is 52 and for x is 53.

How can i do this using xmodmap, i think something like this:

xmodmap -e "keycode 37 + keycode 52 = less"
xmodmap -e "keycode 37 + keycode 53 = greater"

But i dont think this works.

I have a Monterey Minitouch. Absolutely love the feel, possibly more than MX blues. Not a huge fan of the Minitouch layout though. Would love to get my hands on a Chicony.

Quick sidenote, anyone who likes Blue Montereys would probably like round SMK's which are found in Laser SX-25 keyboards. They usually go for a reasonable price online and you can find many people raving about them in reviews. Another very underrated keyboard.

Windows 8 has just been released; to anyone who is using one of these MiniTouch: there's a spare "Blank" key, as this keyboard does not have a Windows key..........I remapped this "Blank" key to "Left Windows" and find it most useful for switching from Start Screen to Desktop and vice-versa. The blank key-cap has been replaced with a black-orange ####hack keycap (only custom keycap in my possession) but other options are also good (especially those Skull keycaps).

For those who do not want to risk manually messing with the Registry, here's the simplest way to remap keys........
Remapped using this http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS- ... weak.shtml Program, which also works in Wins 8.................just read the instructions when using the *Half Teach Mode*.
NB: You'd need to Restart afterwards for the process to be applied.

To those who have a Monterey MiniTouch, I find them to be absolutely useless as I have a NIB/NOS and it is still in the box because one just doesn't have the heart to type on it for fear of damage/degradation/dirt, therefore it is useless. I use my other 3 White APLS modded MiniTouchs instead. I do however, take it out of its box and have a long peek, now and then.........
As they are quite useless, I would be glad to help anyone (without the need to pay for my services) by taking these keyboards off your hands so you can reclaim some cluttered space; one condition is that you'd have to pay for the shipping, it is only fair.

Since someone has already necro'd this for me – when was the "XM" version made? Xiang Min didn't make switches until 1997 – just wondering whether they really are XM switches or one of many of the older "four tab" clones. (Unfortunately Xiang Min perpetuated an existing bad design, with exceptionally high loading/low pretravel.)
