I have posted quite a bit of information about them before and ill do it one last time.
The owner is egyptian, and his german is pretty bad. He has only one english speaking assistant, and he speaks pretty much no german. He is not dodgy, nor is he criminal. Yes, he is VERY unorganized, and it might seem a little dogy, but he has no wrongful intent. Hes actually quite a nice guy. Sadly, his business is going rather badly at the moment, and he might be forced to shut down at some point...partially it is due to people breaking into his old warehouse in Spandau, partially due to the horrible market for used pc goods in germany.
I recommend dealing with them via email in simple, understandable german that he can use google translate on in the worst case.

They also sell this PREH Command M128WX. Now as a newbie, how would I find out what kind of switches it uses and how well it can be reprogrammed?

Never saw a Preh with anything else than rubberdomes, just heard once about one with Cherry MY switches (those which feel like typing on wet newspapers).

My advice: buy a Tipro. They have (plate-mounted) Cherry MX black switches, can be found mostly with a 16x8 matrix (same as in the Preh you're considering), can be chained, all keys are programmable in 4 layers, the (powerful and versatile) software can be downloaded for free from Tipro.

thread revival,

I'm trying to get in touch with cumb.de (email, kleinanzeigen.ebay messages) for several weeks to buy a few G80-1800s, with no avail.

Anyone with the same problem? I've read they don't speak english but I've ask them if they could ship to Portugal through kleinanzeigen.ebay, they answer me right away:

Thanks
After that no more responses through kleinanzeigen.ebay or their email :( Please help!

I have the same problem, two months+ ago I bought two of their boards from ebay. After three weeks no boards arrived by me. I contacted them after two weeks I got a answer, the boards are by a other buyer. They try that he ships the boards to me. Today nothing had arrived by me. I contact them two times again, no answer. Ebaykäuferschutz is gone, my money is lost. But that don't bug me it wasn't much. Sad that I don't received the boards. They German isnt good.

I seem to have had luck with them… I ordered a pair of them two months ago and got them without any incident. I even got one with the logo intact!
