Insane eBay prices?

I was just browsing eBay to see what they had in store for keycap selection and came across this guy selling a Filco Majestouch with yellow keycaps for what seems to be three times the going price of retailers
If I wanted to get one and I didn't live so close to an NCIX, eBay would probably be my only option, but these prices are ridiculous!

Are prices expected to keep increasing? Is there a way to control the prices of the sellers on eBay and other stores? I was looking for a Choc Mini before as well and it seems like they're jacking up the prices on those as well. Seems like they're just playing off the rarity factor and making absurd amounts of cash off it

Here's the Filco price comparison

Nah, an identical Filco with yellow keys sold recently on eBay for something like $90.

That's ebay. Some sellers are just totally absurd and unreasonable with their pricing. All you can do is ignore them and hope someone lists what you are looking for at a realistic price eventually.

I’ve generally found that extreme patience is the key with eBay. If you wait long enough, and keep an eye on whatever it is you’re after,¹ you’ll eventually get it for a good price (or decide you don’t actually want it).

¹ eBay’s custom RSS feeds are really, really handy for this.

Custom RSS feeds? I only have notifications via e-mail. How do you set these up and what do you use to read them?

They’re pretty easy, but quite well-hidden. Just search for something as normal, then down near the bottom there’s a small, orange RSS icon. That’s the URL for the custom RSS feed. I add them to my feed reader and they update automatically whenever my reader refreshes.
