Description Two Topre switch sliders. The purple one on the left is a silenced variant. Dampened sound is achieved by the foam and plastic o-ring which softens the upstroke. Note the longer stem/shorter legs on the purple switch. This is to counter the decreased travel that the o-ring would create. Not all silenced Topre switches have this modification, with some keyboards such as the HHKB Type-S advertised with shorter 3.8mm travel.
