Introduction
The Sony NEWS NWP-411A is a Japanese layout keyboard that came with Sony NEWS (Network Engineering Workstation) workstations sold in the late 1980's to mid 1990's. It interfaces with a proprietary DE9 connector with 6 pins and has an 8-pin Mini-DIN connector on the right side for connecting a mouse.
The NWP-411A came standard with Sony NEWS machines from the NWS-800 series through to the NWS-3xxx series[1]. It was released in January, 1987 with the initial release of the Sony NEWS workstations[2].
