[F̶S̶] TheNachos holiday sale (WhiteFox, Hypersphere rings)

Hey guys,

as much as I love my keyboards, I have a few too many, and so lets make some room, and maybe at the same time find a loving new home to these boards. Shipping would be using DHL from Germany, so that would mean 6,99€ inside of Germany and 17,99€ inside the EU. Other rates can be researched on DHLs webpage, but I guess a buyer inside the EU would make it the least complicated, especially with customs and all that. But now, to the boards.

Thank you all for your attention!

SOLD
Spoiler:
1) Stock Novatouch (45gr) with thick black-on-black PBT keycaps (180€ excl. shipping)
Image
It currently has the stock spacebar on, since I could not get myself to chop the stabmounts on the PBT one to make it fit. I will include both in the package. Comes in original box and with original cable.

2) Modded Novatouch (domes from RF 55gr uniform) with stock keycaps (180€ shipped in EU - would also consider a trade for a uniform RF) - reserved
Image
I swapped the domes with the ones of a Topre 55gr Realforce a while back, and it works just fine. Feels (as you would expect) pretty similar to the stock one, except slightly heavier. Comes in original box and with original cable. Here is an album of pictures I took during the swap procedure - https://imgur.com/a/iJg0b

  • Apple M0110 USB conversion - saw one of those for sale recently, and remembered I have one laying around unused, removed latch on Caps - 120€ shipped - on hold
  • IBM SSK - it hurts to say it, but I just don't use it anymore, so if someone wants it, I'm ready to give it into loving hands, comes with red sleeved cable by Pexon - 250€ shipped - [b]on hold

WhiteFox Aria first batch - 220€ shipped in EU - on hold
Image
67gr tactile Zealios, assembled (sans LED), a bunch of extra Zealios (counted on request), non-original spacebar (thanks Massdrop), comes with second lower part of the case, one engraved, one not

NEW! Hypersphere Topre silencing rings x68 (35€ shipped)
Image
Took these off my FC660C since I changed to other silencing rings, so if someone in Europe (preferrably) requires a set, here you go.

Leopold FC980C - 210 shipped in EU
Image
bought this one because I love my 660, but the layout just isn't right. The silencing is a mix between Hypersphere rings and kbdfans rings

If, by any chance, you are interested in a little compensating exchange with a ISO Novatouch, do tell (keycaps are Italian, not that that would matter much) - I use ANSI when I can.

Added more items. With the holidays coming around, I guess it might make sense to give these mainly unused boards into happy hands

seriously is that the price of a NovaTouch €180 ??
i remember walking in a store near me a 1,5 years ago and almost paying €135 for it brand spanking new..
hahahaa i opted not to do it and get a FC660C for too freaking much but it was a better build then that board..
Still considering the hype ahahha ..for €180 i would just add €20 and grab a new FC660C and ad a hasu controller making it fully programmable..

How nice of you to completely ignore the work of doing a complete domeswap AND acquiring a 55gr Realforce in the process. Also, getting the ANSI version was always more complicated in Europe, than getting the ISO version. Honestly, if you're just looking at selling posts to comment on how unreasonable they are in your opinion, may I ask why?

You forget that these were only on the market for a brief moment, and there hasn't been a genuine Topre keyboard sold since with Cherry MX-compatible stems. The prices for these on the secondhand market skyrocketed once the last of the stock was gone from the vendors' shelves, so whatever the price was when they were still in production is, sadly, irrelevant.

Sure, you could buy a new Leopold (€215 shipped), add a TMK Alt Controller (€39), add a set of (reportedly scratchy) Topre->MX adapter stems (€30.5), and you'd have a perfectly good (if somewhat scratchy) Cherry MX-compatible compact 45g Topre board ... for €284.5. Even without the extra controller you're looking at €245.5.

I'd be surprised if this doesn't sell at €180. Especially since a lot of people seem to strongly prefer the 55g domes.

Why dont' you buy a "brand spanking new" NovaTouch if that's the case? Wait, they don't exist anymore ...

Somebody on reddit offered "good money" for a NovaTouch. When I contacted him and asked for a price, he started with "I have already some offer at 90 euros" and afterwards "so what if they are not made anymore, doesn't mean the price has to go up". I wished him good luck, low-ball offers and cheap buying tactics are not something I like to see, there or here.

why don't i buy a "brand spanking new" NovaTouch" well i had the chance but i declined as i did not like the stabilizers.
Basically the only thing i liked about the NovaTouch was the mx keycap compatibly.

that said i don't judge if you or anyone likes the boards to each his/her own. i was just stating my surprise on how the value of this board has risen over time. it's like a painting from a dead artist when he/she was alive demand was low
but after he/she left us pricing and demand are going true the roof..i suppose that phenomenon is well known.

And in fact the NT is worth what ever you or someone is willing to pay for it.
Certainly the lack of availability will drive pricing.

at the end of the day it's worth is up to the person selling it. and what the market is willing to pay for it 8-)
i totally agree with you on not liking "low-ball offers and cheap buying tactics".. That said let's be honest humanity is filled with these kind of practices. but i suppose a bit of self reflection is in order here.. how would i want to be treated when selling ? well i would appreciate honest genuine offers. No scene in behaving like ferengi hahaha...

So here's a bump for Nachos.. good luck with the sale..

If you are keen on a swap for the Aria, I've got an ergodox infinity with orange Alps and Granite DSA caps. I'd like to have the ergodox child kit go with the kb; but the rest of the caps don't have to go with the board (Alphas, Modifiers, Colour Mods, ErgoDox kit. Flick me a pm if you want to work something out.

Recieved my USB-converted Apple M0110 from TheNacho last month.
It works, obviously, but he also helped me find the optimal layout, and flashed it before shipping. Thank you!
