[F̶S̶] RO-59 leftover sale

I have some leftover stuff for you guys to try, as I finished my modding projects.

The RO-59 comes in 3 x 2ml vials/15€ including shipping.

Update: 0 left

Even though I found these vials the safest, most convinient & tested method for shipping liquid cheaply via regular airmal, you will still assume some risk buying this via regular mail.

Payments preferred by PayPal gift from EU members

I also have a spare sheet of switch stickers.(120 orange stickers). It helps to reduce the noise of the switch, and makes the upper switch housing more secure (less wobble)

99 titanium springs. It takes 52cN of force to bottom out. Similar to the springs in red switch, but even lighter and smoother.

100 custom made Korean springs. It takes 65cn of force to bottom out. Similar to the springs in the vintage black switch, but slightly lighter.

Update: everything sold

I'm intrested in the 62cN springs and the stickers. But could you take a pic of how the stickers work, I don't really understand how they work.

Taeyoung wrote:the main reason of using the sticker is for more tighter fit of the upper and lower Cherry MX switch housings to prevent the side effect, loose fit as a result of opening the upper housing to oil and replace the spring.
Consequentially, this will help to decrease the noise.

The stickers help to eliminate this effect, also it protects the switch from the entering dust. It also prevents ping.

For me, watching the video makes me wonder if there would be value to placing a two sided sticker between the lower case of the switch and the mounting plate.

For me, slices of thick filament tape worked.

MP3 files recording before and after the mod (I used filament tape not the sticker designed specifically for this purpose)

Nice mod, I guess it was a bit time consuming cutting those. Did it fully prevent the lateral movement?

When I wiggle the switch while pressed, it doesn't rattle like the ones without the tape. I never had those stickers, so I cannot compare the performance though.

Awwww. everything sold already, no bids in the thread or nothing? I really wanted those springs. Sucks that people can't do buisnes so everyone can see whats going on with the sale.

I recommend you to apply several layers of coating of RO-59 for the extra durabilty on both the sliders, and the side rails of the lower switch housing, since it is the cleanest option you can get there. It won't attract any dust & dirt, and it won't alter the click of the switch.
Literally the switches would perform as smooth and tight as the vintage ones.

Make sure to use a hairdryer to enhance the bonding properties of the lubricant. It takes only 1-2 mins.

Personally I didn't mess with the metal contact points, as I found the original lubricant adequate for my needs there.
However this is the place where I would try Krytox lubricants for worn out switches, though make sure to clean the surface with rubbing alcohol prior application.

You may try some high viscousity lubricant such as super lube oil with ptfe on both end of the springs as well.

Best of luck!
