• If you are using "low-profile" keycaps, the thinnest O-rings should be great.
• If you are using stock keycaps (standard / OEM profile), you may want to use some thicker O-rings.
• If you are using DSA keycaps (no cross-bar support), my new "XXL" O-rings are specially made for you !

Free advice :
• If you are using Cherry profile - aka "low profile" - keycaps, the thinnest O-rings (= 1.5mm) should be great.
• If you are using OEM profile keycaps, you may want to use some thicker O-rings (= 2.5mm).
• If you are using SignaturePlastics keycaps (w/ no crossbar inside), you have to double - sometimes triple - them up.
For example, I'm using two O-rings (2.5mm + 1.5mm) stacked on top of each other with my SP DSA Granite set.

As you can see, clear O-rings are better for backlight keycaps since light will shine through the O-ring.

It has a very small key travel reduction, so you may or may not notice it. It dampens the noise pretty well, and eliminates almost all of the “shock” you feel when the key hits the bottom. If you can’t decide which pack to get, try these ones first. Can’t go wrong with these ones, they’re good all around.

|| These "fat" O-rings are sold nowhere else to my knowledge.
This one is my personal favorite, but I know it’s not for everyone. It’s the max thickness you can have in an O-ring. It bottoms out just after the key’s registration point. This simulates scissor switches on laptops or thin membrane keyboard, but still retains the “mechanical” feel from MX switches.
