Interesting in another run, I didn't know about it until now I totally would have ordered a few.

I guess they are SKCL yellow, based on the photo that does not show LED electrode holes at switch bottom.

Typically linear Alps switches do not have the LED holes unless it already has an LED installed. However, it is simple to poke holes in the bottom of the switch to install an LED, which I've done on several occasions to replace a failed LED switch.

Switches are still in shipping, looks like they should arrive at the Chinese destination in a few days. At that point they will be shipped to me in the US and we will be able to move forward.

I'd also be in for a second buy. Also didn't see this until right now.

Still waiting on the last part of the order before I can get them to the US. Unfortunately there will be an additional delay of 3 days for the 清明节 (Qingming Jie) holiday, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day.

Bonus: Here is a link the original 12th century tapestry depicting the festival (very large file).

blaise, have the Alps switches arrived yet (as the first part of the orders)? Are they Yellow or Cream? Are they good?

In order to keep shipping costs as low as possible I am shipping everything together to my location. Until the last few switches trickle in, it's just a matter of waiting.

I did order extras, but I'll check to ensure that everyone gets their order and keep some for myself before reselling any of the rest.

I ordered some separately. These do not look like SKCL yellow. SKCL yellow are slightly transparent, these don't look like that. I could be wrong of course, and maybe I won't even like the waiting. But NOS Alps at nothing apiece, can't pass up the opportunity :D .

Yeah I'm not sure what they are either. The picture leaves a lot to be desired, but they seem to be legitimate Alps either way.

Wait, these were NOS? Real shame that I had missed this GB :( If there are many extras I'd be interested in ~70pcs.

My order arrived today. They are ALPS linear yellow switches(SKCLFQ).

The seller also have the other two kinds of Fuhua ALPS switches, Yellow(soft linear) and Black(tactile). But they are all later simplified version.

Doctor Click, do these yellow switches feel good? I haven't tried them.

If it's anything like the Yellows I have, they are really good. They are heavier than SKCL Greens but otherwise pretty similar.

SKCLAR. The series is structured:

SKCLAx: Momentary linear, no LED
SKCLFx: Momentary linear, factory-fitted LED
SKCLJx: Alternate action
SKCLKx: Double action
SKCMAx: Momentary tactile
SKCMBx: Momentary tactile, damped

SK__Fx seems to denote factory-fitted LEDs, as the same A/F scheme applies to SKFR as well. As more model and part numbers are found, we may see if the pattern applies in wholesale or only in part to other series (SKFF, SKFL etc).

Wow! The two main simplified types left that I need to collect. Thanks for the heads-up! Also, SKBL yellow linear was not proven (mine are black), but now I can finally have some. (The other one would be black clicky, but with-LED may also have existed at some stage.)

Yes, it's clicky and the voice is too soft.

Yes. The type I need is white clicky, and I ordered the last ones from Mechanical Keyboards, but it got lost in the post. I can't reorder, as there is no more stock and they are no longer manufactured.

Huh?

I see that on TaoBao there are also tactile yellow complicated Alps switches. I’d say that they’re meant to be cream or something, but I see that even the photos in this thread show the linear ones to be a really pale yellow.

Typically for China, I can’t figure out what each page offers, as there are two listings for black SKBM, one for tactile complicated yellow, and one for SKBL yellow that also includes a picture of tactile yellow! I guess I'll have to order a load of each and see what on earth I end up with. (Google helpfully informs me that they stock small turtles, though.)

On some related site there's also Alps (not Forward) SKBM Grey, but those are not on TaoBao.

The seller of the blue and green Tai Hao also has white. Which site is it? It might be Alibaba owned even if it isn't TaoBao proper (e.g. Aliexpress, tmall, etc.)

The white you're seeing is linear, not clicky. It's the three types Tai-Hao currently offer.

That's the same seller (1688 and taobao). I asked him but the Alps Grey is out of stock.
