Anyway, hope it hits MOQ, looking forward to it.
Well i am in the same boat with you. I didn't knew we will do that. And i would like to buy also one additional base set just for ISO-DE....

I think they only have the Q in that large font. It's part of the QMX and Uniquey logo.

Ok here is the updated Carbon orange. To see the difference the key with new orange has MX label and key with V2 color has Q label.
To see the difference i made the pictures under different light conditions. Also keep in mind the fotos were done with my mobile phone, thus they dont have great quality but its more abut colors.
In the shaddows:

Under the sun:

No light bleed:

Overall that updated orange is deeper than V2. You can clearly see (if not colorblind) the V2 has more yellow accents there the updated orange seems to be more orangy. In this case i am very happy with new color and will send my approval for the production.

It's been mentioned that the orange change is going to impact the delivery date - any idea what that impact will be?

Sorry to make you repeat yourself if you've already been saying it.

Add-on kits are now at massdrop. International kit will need much more love.

Why don't they make PBT caps, this always wondered me.

PBT is unsuitable for high quality ABS doubleshots. There is no example of collector quality PBT doubleshots.

If you want nice PBT caps, get dye sublimated ones.

That was more of a general Question, I don't mind having dye sublimated caps instead of doubleshots. Just GMK has so many nice sets out there but ABS puts me off. And I don't see the point in dropping over 100 EUR on caps which will shine within 3 month of use.

There's a reason ABS doubleshots are still so dominant in the collectors market. Dye sublimation has it's limits and cannot deliver the same crisp colors you get from ABS doubleshots. I consider them more of a collectors item than a daily workhorse.

Then there's people who don't mind shiny caps ... after all, the highly sough after SA profile keycaps are (with a single recent exception) all ABS doubleshots that come with a shiny surface out of the factory.

There are even people who love and cherish them as witnesses of their hard typing work,
as true accomplices, as fellow writers, as companions in fortune and misfortune, as friends.

Shiny caps reveal fingers hit and hugged them more than once, their shine is a proof of genuine intimacy.
And who knows which marks they themselves left on the fingers of their owners - and on their souls?

He's not the only one. It always puzzles me why people are so eager to put their keyboards back to as-new condition (except with a view to long-term preservation, of course). The condition of a keyboard speaks of the way it's been used. You can tell which keys I used most on my laptop keyboard - the pad-printed legends are wearing off the up and down keys and the Alt key (I'm only surprised the Tab hasn't worn too). My old NMB dome-with-slider is yellowed on one side from the years it spent sitting on end waiting for me to find it again.

As for the keyboards I acquire, the dirt and shine are subjects for speculation. Clearly the users of my Tipro used the space bar a lot (mostly the right-hand side) and preferred the numpad to the numrow - and had to deal with various small pieces of card. There's history in that shine and dirt and yellowing - a new keyboard (or one made "new") just can't compare with that.

Since there's no ISO-DE support in Carbon (yet?) I put the alphas up to the Amiga 2000 and Classic Beige Cherry caps:

Center is Carbon, left/top is Amiga 2000 keycaps, right/bottom are classic beige

Absolute dream kit, absolute nightmare coordination/timing.

I'm doingmy best to support this kit and recommend anyone to join it but I am afraid this will fail and be used as an argument against Norde/International support in future GBs totally disregarding the fact that the kit was sold months after the Base kit leaving dozens of potential buyers without the chance to get a matching base kit.

Yeah, I agree. If a kit like this would be offered(as an option) with the basekit, it would have been a lot better. I am probably going to buy it to support GMK International legends, but I will never be sure if I am able to acquire a GMK Carbon base set.

You know i can't do nothing for coordination and timing. Nobody could expect Carbon to be that popular and thus offering NORDEUK kit in the first round was unsafe. Actually it was you who convinced me to make an ISO adapter/kit, which was done after the base set drop was over. Summed up that was spontaneous decision. If it does not hit moq, then well next time it will hit it for sure (round 2).

By the way how comes you got your base set that fast? I am still waiting for my set ...

How to get Base Set? Go to mechmarket and ask for it. I am sure one of the flippers will contact you. However i got heavy doubts the international kit will make it.

Whats the reason for that the spacebar kit does not have an 1.25u orange R4 key?
(would be nice for shift/as mod)

I'm not blaming you tombery, you designed a beautiful international kit. It's Massdrop throwing these kits out with no base-kit option that is a bummer. Imstead of proving a GMK norde kit can work, this might be used as an argument against norde support in future GMK gbs. Again, I completely blame massdrop for not opening the base kit one more time for buyers interested in the norde kit...

I really appericate your effort! It's step closer to get international legends, whether we make it or not.

I think there could be alternative way to run GMK set group buys. You can still make the set if you don't find buyers to all 150 sets. Simply just do the math, MASSDROP will need to collect 6448.5USD (42.99USD*150) for this set to be made. For example if we find 50 buyers (which is very likely), one set would cost 128.97USD and this would have to be tier one, after that the price will break, for example if we sell 75 sets, the price would have been 85.98 and so on. Practically every sold set could break the price down a bit (up until 150 sets sold). And if 129USD or 86USD is too much for you, you can still commit to buy when certain tier is achieved.

I personally would pay 128.97USD for the international kit. One could also argue that all interested buyers could just buy 3 sets and the buy would have been successful, but in reality it is just not that easy, we all want to believe that maybe we reach to 150, and why I have to be the one to buy 3, maybe others will not follow etc etc.

Well _FUCK MASSDROP_ !!!

They just opened a keyboard drop (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/red-scarf- ... d-kit/talk) where you can add an optional GMK Carbon base kit ...

At the same time in the Carbon NORDE GB, people are screaming for additional base kits and nothing happens. So they currently have additional GMK Carbon base kits in stock but instead of using them to support the GMK Norde kit ... they use it to support some Chinese keyboard kit ...

Are they intentionally sabotaging the efforts to add international support to a GMK kit?

What the actual fuck?

It would have been nice if that was an option (only) when purchasing the norde kit. Desperate people would have bought the two even if they did not need the norde kit, as it would have been cheaper than buying from flippers anyway.

They order additional sets to help push drops that they know are coming up. That nord set was for people who'd purchased the set originally. The timing sucks, but I just don't see where the righteous indignation is coming from.

People have been asking for the base sets in the addon drop comments. (M)assdrop says it is not possible while they sell them at the same time to promote some shitty keyboard.

Yes they can purchase anything they want and sell whatever they like, but this is not a very polite way of handling things. Especially when the addon kits are clearly suffering because the lack of base kit addon option to the norde kit.

Someone told me the carbon base kit was available on massdrop with a link. I thought I was being trolled when I clicked the link but it's there alright - I just got to buy an expensive keyboard I have no need for to get it. That's quite some BS there by MassDrop.

How does GMK feel that one of their products is being used as leverage in this way?

Man $135 USD is waiting in the bank for this, but no way I'm paying an extra $175 for the privilege.

BS by MD

They've also introduced the keyset after the keyboard drop that they have the keyset on (MiniVan/Lightcycle), so getting so worked up at this point with no counter from MD seems a bit premature. Either they (a) have a limited number left, so no need in getting on that they used it to promote another drop, or (b) plan to have another drop for the keyset in the nest few days. But it seems that people don't want to have patience to hear back from MD, but would rather assume the worst?

Not quite fair towards the RS96... there have been many people (including me, which is why I probably won't be getting the XMIT nor the Clueboard for this drop) waiting for this keyboard. To classify it as such just because you're upset doesn't seem to be fair nor justified.
