Hello, what is your suggestion for a sdl to usb cable? Or, if it's way cheaper, sdl to ps2 to usb.

I've seen the brand new model m on unicomp, and I'm evaluating the purchase.

BTW what do you think of Lexmark made model ms?

Thanks

Cindy has a NOS batch of the black AT cables. They're the ones that shipped with the very oldest Ms, and they're badass as well as excellent. Off of that, it's AT-> PS/2 (about $1) and then your choice of PS/2 to USB converter.

I second Cindy's black AT cables, I bought one from her and it's fantastic. The price was pretty reasonable too especially when you take into account I had it shipped from the US to the UK. If you like something more simple IE SDL to USB without any adaptors then go for one of orihalcons custom made cables, one of them is even a soarers converter which will allow you to remap keys if that's what you want

And now she has two fewer cables in her batch. Thanks for the tip, Chyros! :-)

Thank you very much.
Orihalcon's with soarer converter seems to be the best one. Quite strange anyway that a cable costs more than a model m :-)

Decades-old keyboards are merely "junk" collecting dust until someone expends time and energy converting them to cash.

Orihalcon hand-builds his cables and converters, and he had to spend quite a bit of money on a large lot of male SDL plugs when he started out.
