My Apple M0116 Space Bar and Stabilizer keys feel mushy. Help!

I posted this on the mechanical keyboard reddit too but I want to hear the people on this side too.

So for the past 2 days I was taking apart the board and cleaning it (Only the case and mount, didnt clean the individual switches). When I put it back together, keys felt mushier (1u keys might just be me who have an insensitive hand) and it was more apparent on the stabilizer keys (Know this for a fact).

And my spacebar...

My spacebar, sticks down like this and I don't know why. I know the Apple M0116 Spacebar has the switch on the right side of the keyboard and the key sticks down when I press and hold the left side.

Did dust get on the switches?
Do I need to lube the stabilizers?

I need help...

Double check wheter you put it back right. Alps stabs can be like this.

I checked the measurements of each, put it back together, same problem.

that's the dampeners, with time they just get ultra sticky and they rot basically, open your board, take off the keys where they stick and you should see some kind of weird sticky squares, just remove them with a knife and you should be all good !

Check the stabilizer. This often happens.

Check the both end of the stabilizer are set correctly.
It may be between keycap and tiny black bracket.

Good luck.

this. as the foam breaks down over the years it gets either very sticky or very brittle.

the hollow guides for the stabilizers might be loose on the plate or missaligned, check if they sit well on the plate and grease them.
