Hi everyone,

I found this keycap today and I am unable to figure out what keyboard it is from. I know deskthority will be a great place to get information so I register! :D
(There is a letter N in the bottom middle, wonder that has anything to do with manufacture...).

If anyone here knows something about this keycap please tell me, Thanks a lot!

There is no latch or anything to secure the keycap on the switch to a point I don't know if it's from a keyboard at all...

You can see under [wiki]Hollow square mount recognition[/wiki] that it is a keycap mount style common to a number of brands. However, I don't recognise those dimensions. Where did you find this keycap?

The letter "N" will indicate which mould cavity it came from.

Rafi switch? I assume not if Daniel hasn't already mentioned it.

Definitely not RAFI, but it certainly may be intended for square post mount, of which there are not many known types. See [wiki]Square post mount recognition[/wiki].

Its a weird story, I find this cap in my car's ashtray when going through all the coins in there, but I have no memory of putting it in there. I ask those who share the car with me but no one recognizes it...

You know, with it being in the ashtray, it may have been there for a very long time. Maybe before you bought the car. If that is the case, maybe it is off of a calculator or a luggable of some kind. Would be reasonable to have one of those in the front seat.

Maybe we need a place to store things that are not identified, that we can look back on periodically to see if anything listed in there has since been identified.
