Dear all,
This is a relatively new observation, and no software changes have taken place, nor hardware for that matter.
My 104u, 87u or HHKB won't wake up my iMac, when connected directly to the USB at the rear. I've tried all the USB ports to no joy. They will wake the computer when connected to a powered USB hub.
My SSK will wake the computer when connected directly to the USB port at the rear, I am using the blue cube adapter.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
SY
Realforce KBs and HHKB don't wake up my aging iMac...

Sounds more like a Mac problem than a keyboard one. Seeing as it's an old iMac, the parameter RAM (PRAM) battery may be low. Or indeed this could be a Power Management Unit (PMU or SMC) issue. You can reset both of those quite easily. Apple has instructions.

"Have you tried zapping PRAM?" is one of the oldest Mac tech support questions of all, and is still relevant for basic power / wake / boot selection stuff like this.

Thanks Mu. It was pilot error, wake up function wasn’t on via the dip. All sorted now.Muirium wrote:Sounds more like a Mac problem than a keyboard one.
