Hi all, I picked up a pc122 from snacksthecat, and I started taking all the caps off to clean them and I noticed the sliders seem to like coming off with the caps. Is there some trick to taking off space invader keycaps, or any other things to know about servicing space invaders?

Hey riceball, I use a sideways prying motion with a keycap puller. If you catch the edge of the keycap and do it gently, it pops off without pulling the slider with it. I'll post a video in a couple minutes showing what I mean.

Hey, fancy seeing you here! I'll try that, thanks.

+1 for Snacks recommendation...pry from one edge.

Pulling Space Invaders apart and lubing them is a video I am working on right now but I really don't recommend it for the clicky switches but rather only for linears.

Well..... It is finally here! I know that a lot of people wanted a guide on how to lube these switches.

Thanks for the video, I was just thinking of coming and asking about lubing linear space invaders before logging in :)

I hope you enjoy the space invaders once you lube them.
