You should better make a post when it is up. Down and GeekHack is about the same thing.

PS:
Maybe I should add a cursor kit which contains LEFT, GH, RIGHT and DT.

Spin the wheel of misfortune to find out why today. I'm guessing jammed cassette tape in the server farm.

A chicken pulled out the tape at the farmhouse (pictured), where the server is located.

Because he's Ripster.

That's why he's banned from GH.

I thought that news would reach you fairly quickly.

Anyway, I don't want to bring my :triangle: or my general flame out right now. I think it's impolite the DT members who only get to see me once in a blue moon.

Hmm, I knew he was banned, just didn't know he's Ripster! That makes a lot of sense, I should get out of this pointless thread as well.

The maintenance I read of was done already afaik. Also more than 12h downtime for maintenance?

PBTforever is Ripster or is that just a joke? I think there's an account over at Geekhack with that name.

One of the geekhack mods posted on reddit it was a minor hardware failure.

Mining accidents are no joke. The cleanup takes forever, as you can see.

Yes, I noticed that GH was down most of yesterday and it is still down today. I did see a recent report about a new malware that especially targets Windows servers. I hope that they were not a victim of such a thing and that they can get back up and running soon with no data losses.

Eh, could be like the one guy I know who runs a fairly large site who takes his time getting anything done. Even something like rebuilding from a backup after a drive failure took a good 2 days despite having full backups of everything (even configs).

The provider didn't get to it yesterday. Sources say we should be back up this afternoon if all goes to plan.

Guess I am getting used to working for customers with 99% SLA's, forgetting that is not the case for every server or customer.
Curious though what the problem was...
