I never understood these mixes of sweet and salty, I just don't get it...

Is it one of those things New Yorkers are suposed to have on a Saturday and skip both breakfast and lunch?

I get some of them, some not. Salted caramel, for example, I'm not that sure about.

Bacon pancakes with syrup, however...

Speaking of salt + sugar, this has to be one of the most bewildering and disgusting abominations that the Yanks have come up with:

I've missed them. I need some soon.

That said, I'm also already dealing with banoffee pie withdrawal symptoms. Why can't I just have both?!

I was hoping nobody would bring that up. Buuuuut I better explain myself. :P

Okay... believe it or not it's made in 2014 by IBM (yeah... somehow they still make some stuff post-Lenovo, I don't get it), and happens to be *extremely* tactile. In fact, it's possibly the most tactile rubber dome keyboard I ever used' whatever membrane is used is very tactile and kind of like a topre. Not all of these keyboards are like that though so I don't know what makes this one so special. Maybe because it's a JP layout and they needed to fulfill certain variables for the Japanese clients who demanded something decent? I'm just guessing.

Also, each row of the keys is molded specially for a curve (much like Cherry keycaps), so they're not all flat and each key is quite accessible.

This is to tide me over while I wait for the MF SSK; I have been too busy to bother with any Japanese of late sadly.

Is that keyboard the official "Canadian ISO layout" ?

When I heard about that, I thought it was a cruel joke ... poor Canadians. Torn between the allmighty ANSI-US and the least supported layout of the western world ;)

You may not be aware that there are more people in the world using the French AZERTY than the German QWERTZ layout

Actually, the keyboard there is a Japanese layout (if you look closely you'll see the 1U backspace and small space bar). It was used on conjunction with some studying I was doing for fun.

So... (and this is true), I never knew about AZERTY for the longest time since I only ever saw the "Canadian French" keyboard. So I thought all French people used the Canadian French layout. Imagine my surprise when I discovered AZERTY and that the Canadian French ISO layout is some bizarre concoction. One problem we have here is that the majority of Western Canadians do not speak French at all, but the majority of computers come with Canadian French layouts. So what often happens is that the French layout is enabled and they become all panicked when they start getting É instead of ? and other random character swaps:

Canadian ISO aside, that enter key was dreadful. That whole laptop was dreadful. It must have cost $300. No, it's not mine, it was a client's.
