It's a pretty dumb designer who does things the awkward way just for the sake of it, especially when it's not explained anywhere. My bet is that it's done on purpose, so that some clever bod can come along and laugh, while he feels all intelligent by showing you "how it's done". The feeling of superiority is ten fold when the person not realising how to do it is a n00b...

That's almost as silly as having code that would arbitrarily force you to re-arrange the characters of a URL backwards, so that the link (forwards, normal) embeds correctly.

I would welcome this. GH is pretty much only an off-topic forum from my standpoint. The keyboard discussion there is... uh... not in my realm of interest. Plus, it's like talking to a bunch of 10-year-olds sometimes.

Very little clack sales on here also.

Well, when you get a bunch of tee-ballers with a high sense of self-entitlement and skin thinner than bible paper, butts get hurt rather frequently. The lulz factor may not be as high here on DT, but the crowd is more mature and the discussion more relevant.

I just saw bhtooefr just moved a bunch of his reviews. Another old-timer GHer is making the (wise) switch.

I'd move my Wikis but the admins here don't like my watermark.
